Getting ready for bed last night and I heard a loud example of Newtonian physics occurring down the street. For those that hav forgotten high school physics:
What are Newton’s Laws of Motion?
An object at rest remains at rest, and an object in motion remains in motion at constant speed and in a straight line unless acted on by an unbalanced force.
The acceleration of an object depends on the mass of the object and the amount of force applied.
Whenever one object exerts a force on another object, the second object exerts an equal and opposite on the first.
To translate to a real world example, a speeding car on a 30 mph road wants to continue speeding. A parked car wants to remain parked. The parked car exerted a lot of force on the moving car and the moving car ended up on its side.
