Kelly and I did a little walking around an antique mall today. Not that the mall was antique. The mall was filled with antiques. Sometimes you make impulse buys when you stroll through a mall. I’m happy to say I was restrained on this day, but wanted to share some of the oddities available. Like this freakish, in no way antique, renaissance festival, Tolkien loving staff.
And if you are getting the staffs, head on over two booths and pick up a slightly rusted chain mail shirt.
Or this delightful bust of a dog wearing a monocle stuck on a small pedestal. It was only $18.

If only there had been a second one, I would have loved to have a matching pair of these. I’m not kidding. I would have bought them as a set.
Or maybe I could interest you in a large photo of the top of Isaac Hayes head. Actually, there is an album for sale along with the head.
Or maybe I could interest you in a life-size, anatomically correct statue of a lion for just shy of $9,000.
The one thing I’m regretting not buying were the logo fittings off of a Triumph motorcycle. . . and the dog with the monocle. I guess I could go back tomorrow.
